LISA
HEALY
Lisa Healy is an abstract expressionist creating striking and unusual paintings that deal with transparency, depth and texture.
Some paintings present organic interpretations of frothy lava, cooling lava, water and watery surfaces.
Other compositions suggest cosmic explosions or other images as might be viewed through the Hubble Telescope.
Her use of a vivid palate heightens the excitement to our visual senses.
The artist will pour, direct and manipulate multiple layers onto various surfaces ranging from copper, aluminum, paper and canvas and incorporate other materials such as glass beads and sand.

Ms. Healy states, "There are no hidden meanings. No recognizable shapes, nothing to point to and decipher. Do not look for things in my paintings that would stem from a normal perception - it isn't there. I want the viewers of my paintings to push their limits of perception - to divert from their norm. Somewhere between eye and brain this diversion of perception can have limitless opportunities".
Ms. Healy attended the Art Institute of Seattle and after that the Pratt Fine Art Center, also in Seattle. Her works have been exhibited extensively throughout the Northwest , her native Ohio and Germany, and can be found in many private and corporate collections in these and other areas.
