DENISE BARTLETT  

Energy, Drama and Texture: Denise Bartlett creates large, abstract canvases often combining gold and silver gilding with bright acrylics and natural fibers. Her work reflects an amalgamation of rhythm, light and spirit.

In describing what inspires her work, Denise says she is expressing a direct and immediate response to her environment.

Denise began experimenting with different mixed media and gold gilding techniques while working at the Walt Disney Studios. Her work has appeared in many Disney movies and throughout the Disney Theme Parks. Since that time, she has won several national awards in design. Her work has been published in "coffee table" books of design. Her work has been displayed in museums in Portland, Seattle and Vancouver, B.C.

In addition to Art Concepts in Tacoma, Washington, her work can also be seen at galleries in Rancho Mirage, California, East Hampton, New York, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and Spokane, Washington.
